Our Mission
Mission Statement:
The Foundation for Local News, Inc. focuses attention and resources on the local news ecosystem in New Jersey and beyond, enabling local news to not only survive, but thrive, which in turn promotes democracy and citizen engagement.
The Foundation for Local News provides charitable support to improve the local news ecosystem, creates educational opportunities for high school and college students, provides funding to help bloom news in news deserts, facilitates advances in local news infrastructure, and heightens public awareness about the local news crisis. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
